Crypto-Asset Prices

Prices for the Exchange service are calculated as follows:

  • When a client wishes to carry out a transaction offered by the exchange service, they indicate which crypto-assets they want to buy, sell, or exchange, as well as the amount.

  • The Entity obtains the price in real time. This price is estimated by observing not only the current quotation of the crypto-asset but also the liquidity available at that moment.

  • Crossmint obtains the base price of crypto assets by fetching real-time pricing data from reputable, independent third-party providers and liquidity sources. Prices are updated regularly to reflect current market conditions.

  • The Entity adds the commission for the service and displays to the user the final price the user will pay for the crypto-asset, as well as the added commission. This price remains fixed for 10 seconds, after which it is updated again.

  • If the user accepts the transaction, the crypto-assets involved are credited at the fixed price.

  • In parallel, the Entity proceeds to buy and/or sell the necessary quantities of crypto-assets to ensure that it holds sufficient funds on its balance sheet to continue offering the service to other users.

For stablecoins offered by Crossmint, the base price is pegged to their underlying fiat currency (e.g., USD $1 for USDC, €1 for EURC).

For further information regarding pricing, please refer to the Non-discriminatory commercial policy and pricing policy for the crypto-asset exchange service.

Price Display and Execution

For all transactions, the asset price shown to you during your order includes the base price plus any applicable spread. The price displayed during checkout is the price you will pay to purchase a crypto asset from us or the price you will receive for selling a crypto asset to us.

For sell transactions, the payout amount shown during your order is a quote for the estimated value. The final price will be locked when Crossmint receives and confirms the crypto asset you are selling.

Spreads

Crossmint may include a spread in the asset price shown during your transaction. This spread helps cover:

  • Market volatility of crypto assets

  • Increased likelihood of successful transaction completion

  • Operational costs not covered by other fees

  • Liquidity provision

All spreads are included in the total asset price shown to you during the checkout process. The asset price displayed is the final price you will pay or receive.

For transactions involving currency conversions where there is no direct crypto-to-crypto or fiat-to-crypto pair, we use prevailing mid-market exchange rates from our liquidity providers. The exact exchange rate used will be shown on your transaction receipt.

Fees

Crossmint charges fees based on the type of service you use and your payment method.

After processing your transaction, you will receive a receipt that details:

Order Finality

When Your Order Becomes Final

For Buy Orders (On-Ramp): Your purchase order becomes final when:

  1. We receive confirmed payment from your payment method, AND

  2. All KYC/AML checks are successfully completed, AND

  3. The purchased crypto assets are delivered to your specified wallet address or Crossmint custodial wallet

For Sell Orders (Off-Ramp): Your sell order becomes final when:

  1. We receive and confirm the crypto assets in the wallet address we provided to you, AND

  2. All KYC/AML checks are successfully completed, AND

  3. The fiat payment is initiated to your designated bank account or payment method

For Transfers: As a general rule, transfers are irrevocable once confirmed by the Client and received by the Provider. In the case of external transfers, once the transaction has been broadcast to the network, the operation cannot be reversed by the Provider, given the inherent nature of distributed ledger technology.

Important Notes on Finality

  • All orders are subject to successful completion of anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions screening

  • Blockchain confirmation times may vary based on network conditions

  • Once an order is final, it generally cannot be cancelled or reversed

  • Fiat payment settlement times depend on your bank or payment provider's processing times

  • You will receive email confirmation when your order reaches finality

Cancellations and Refunds

Orders can only be cancelled before they become final. Once an order is final as defined above, cancellation is not possible due to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions. Please review all transaction details carefully before confirming your order.

For questions about order status or issues with your transaction, please contact our support team at support@crossmint.com.
